You forgot to mention my big ol' cinnamon roll, served up with lots of icing and a glob of whipped butter; or how this birthday "breakfast" was at 11:30 after driving hungry for nearly two hours "just South" of Superior. But for a $7.00 birthday meal, it couldn't be beat. Glad you liked it.

And what about the home made barbecue sauce at the Old Saloon, doctored up with Leinenkugel's? And their homemade honey mustard and blue cheese dips for all the fried fare? That BBQ sauce was awesome, they really should bottle it. And there is something to be said for fried cheese dipped in cheese!

Finally, I don't mean to disappoint you but the "home made" ice cream you had really only tasted that way. That cute little parlor served <a href=http://www.chocolateshoppeicecream.com/index.cfm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream made in Madison, WI. It might as well have been homemade, though! It was rich and creamy, and I know ice cream. My first job was as a Swensen's soda jerk after all, and I worked my way up to making the ice cream. I can tell you, they use fresh ingredients, not any mix out of a box! But they only sell direct to restaurants and ice cream stores so don't bother looking for it in the markets. Bummer! You can however order Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream online at icecreamsource.com!

That swirled scoop of Cotton Candy was delicious, it tasted like the real thing. And I just had to get you the cake batter flavor for your birthday. But as far as feeling iguilty is concerned, the nutritional information on thrir cups and packaging says it all...

"Don't even ask. This is the best ice cream made in Wisconsin, and it tastes so good because it has gobs of rich Wisconsin cream, tons of real ingredients for boat-loads of luscious flavors. That means it's not low-fat, low-calorie, or low-anything, and that's why everyone loves it. You want nutrition, eat carrots.
