It might as well have been homemade, though! It was rich and creamy, and I know ice cream. My first job was as a Swensen's soda jerk after all, and I worked my way up to making the ice cream. I can tell you, they use fresh ingredients, not any mix out of a box! But they only sell direct to restaurants and ice cream stores so don't bother looking for it in the markets. Bummer!
