Bruce is on one of the championship trips right now & this site was forwarded to me. I am speechless to see his dream in someone elses print. I guess I take for granted all the quality birds & the super dogs on his string. His dream has come true.

If you guys do get into this business, sign Winston up for at least two months! I can't imagine how happy he'd be to go bird hunting every day....Poor city dog! The only thing he gets to point at are ground squirrels!

Hey, if you don't do what you love, it's called WORK. This is one of life's huge lessons. It doesn't matter if computer programming or insurance adjusting pay well. If you don't love what you do, it's all a drudge.

And I shared Jim's farm-bird-hunting experience. It satisfies the Y-chromosome blood lust thing without having to REALLY track something down to kill it. The trick is to eat what you bag, 'lest kharma track you down and do something similar to you.

Trek on, you road animals!!

I could totally see us running a rural training kennel like this. I just don't think René would ever quite get into the hunting thing. I wouldn't mind it, but I last went hunting long, long ago. And the only true bird dog I've ever hunted with ran off to get the farmed bird I missed and kept going all day until he had chased it down and brought it back in his mouth.

But the game bird farming that Bruce did at HiFive sounds doable, and fun. But then again, we would all need to be OK with the hunting thing.
