[...] And I must admit, this place was pretty amazing. Though it was a pretty much a whole bunch of rocks that started looking similar after a while, I can honestly say it was much more amazing than René’s “most amazing” Pile of Junk in Austin. [...]

It reminds one of the Watts Towers, but with modern American discards. It's good to see that the trade deficit with China has given birth to such a bizarre and fine work.

I agree with Rene.

We went to Houston and wanted to see the Beer Can house. (http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/TXHOUbeer.html)

But it was closed. I would love to visit the Cathedral of Junk or Pile O’ Crap sometime myself too!

Oh come on guys, it was so cool! This man is a visionary. I wish I had the same kind of creativity, to be able to envision a piece of art out of a bunch of things that were just going to end up in the landfill. This was beyond the typical "junk art," in that it was functional. You could literally walk up into the towers, sit, contemplate, have a cocktail, whatever. There's so much to look at, it can occupy you for hours!

To think of all the money I could have made, had I just charged admission to our old apartment, which looked exactly like that.. wished I'd thought of it then.

*sigh*
